We Make Discovering the Trails and Roads of northeast Ohio a True Adventure!
Akron and northeast Ohio are a Cyclist’s Paradise. Acres of verdant parkland, a National Forest, and America’s “Crooked River” meander along miles of canal trails and roads. Wooded roadways and trails are entwined with urban and rural farms, some of America’s leading cultural attractions and a temperate climate that makes outdoor activities fun through all seasons.
And all of this is on the banks of the world’s largest bodies of fresh water, Lake Erie!
ABC members can be found visiting the tall ships on the Lake, hiking, biking and kayaking America’s Byways, visiting local farmer’s markets, enjoying wine in local vineyards, taking in local attractions and festivals or biking to the summer concerts of the Cleveland Orchestra at Blossom.
And there is more...
Each rider CHOOSES the comfort level, fast or slow, easy to challenging.
ABC hosts a handful of organized rides that challenges our members and introduces other clubs and riders to the beauty of the area.
We are a SOCIAL club that frequently travels to other regions, states, and even other countries to enjoy the adventure of their diversity. Scuba in Cancun or the Caymans, camping in the mountains of West Virginia, touring the Finger Lakes of New York. Just a sample of where you can find ABC.
“ABC has become a part of our life since moving here several years ago. Bill and I are fortunate to count many members as friends and look forward to our weekly jaunts through the Metroparks.”
–William and Brenda Greathouse, members since 1998
PLUS...
ABC members keep our fingers on the pulse of what is impacting cycling. We listen and, when needed, encourage our members to add their voices to the dialogues for promoting smart cycling.
WE LISTEN through our memberships in the Ohio Biking Federation, League of American Bicyclists and Adventure Cycling Association.
We promote safe cycling at all of our club rides.

Why members love ABC
“...the Thursday night faster rides, Sunday rides, special rides to Tremont, Circle Cleveland. It helps to have several choices to pick a ride from. Love riding in the valley-especially the hills. Roscoe Ramble is one of the best rides around.”
- Tom Wilson, member since 2004
“The varying ride options to fit my ever changing moods and the many fun experiences and interesting people met along the way.”
- Nancy Buchanon
“...great rides & great people! (I) like most everything, social stuff & variety of organized rides.”
-Larry Steele
“Thursday night rides, the Think Spring Ride, fun people in the group and riders that wait for you!”
-Holly Kaskey
“I got involved thru the hiking club and had very little experience biking. It was the friendly people, social rides and willingness to “learn” a newbie like me that kept me involved. Don’t want to see he club ever move from that.”
- Tony “Z” Zakrzewski, Director
